AB Interior's first blog

Welcome to AB Interiors' website and my first blog. I am Alex, an Interior Designer in the south of Lancashire, covering the surrounding areas and wherever projects will take us.

Creativity and design is always a career path I knew I would follow, from being creative with drawing throughout my childhood, studying GCSE art and completing a level 3 B-tech course in college for Art, and then finally gaining my Honours Degree at the University of Central Lancashire for Interior Design.

I also love to travel as I am sure many other people do, but I feel it brings new ideas and concepts to my design work being able to see the interior architecture around the world, and how different it can vary from country to country.

I have over 2 years of industry experience and a total of 5 years designing from working on residential projects such as living rooms, kitchens, and bedrooms to commercial projects such as dentists and large-scale businesses within Manchester.

I have always had a keen eye for details, and this has led me down different career paths as I used to work as a car valeter, and within recent years helping to renovate my family home adding creativity and modernised ideas within our home environment.

From start to finish with my projects I will always aim to work to timescales and focus on as many details as possible. I love the small details in projects from door handles to plug sockets and switches everything works together to make the room come to life. Using well-known colours such as Farrow & Ball and Little Greene adds character to the space and allows a variety of colour choices.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog, my aim as an Interior designer is to bring luxury yet affordable spaces to you all. I hope to make the process of transforming your home or room/s as easy as possible, from as little as a design to project managing your renovation, I’ll be sure to help you with whatever your needs are and hopefully you will take me into consideration for your projects.
